In contrast to the concept of a standard advisory board, JETSCREEN has set up a dedicated online community of users and key players for making alternative fuels a viable future option in aviation. This community is being hosted on the proprietary ARTTIC's Community Management Tool (CMT), which is a platform designed and developed for professional networking, sharing of information, organizing of events, etc. The logic is similar to social networks, but CMT is hosted in a controlled environment, with full control on access rights, data stored and shared, etc. CMT enables the community users to get information on the project technologies on a regular basis (with fully customizable notification settings, from immediate to never), allows moderated online discussions to collect and discuss feedback, but also organizes focused meetings involving selected members of the community to provide advice and feedback. This model allows integration of advice and an iterative learning in the project, which will in turn help to pave the way for alternative fuels in aviation.
